How To Avoid Drying Watercolor Paint Using Mijello Fusion Air-tight Watercolor Palette

Many watercolor painters who use artist grade watercolor paint feel that washing away remaining unused watercolor paints in their palette is a total waste.Do you know a simple way that allow you to save watercolor paints from being dry so you could use them again soon in the future?

Watercolor paint is one of the most expensive kinds of paint available in the art stores. Therefore, Mijello Fusion Air-Tight Watercolor Palette is a great investment for watercolor artists. This air-tight palette was made exclusively for watercolor paints and allowing you not only conserving mixed paints, but also bringing it anywhere you like without a mess.

Mijello Air-Tight Palette made from thick plastic mixing space and air-tight outer case. The sealing ring on the outer case could lock the moisture to prevent your paint to dry.The mixing space is quite deep enough, preventing your paints to mix with other compartment’s colors.

I saw that Jerrys Artarama’s store list Mijello Air-Tight Watercolor Palette for $11.79 (small) and $17.99 (large).

They are currently having a sale which ends 05/27/2012, so the small one is currently listed at $9.99 and $16.99 for the large palette. From the reviews, most of them prefer the small version of it because it’s more portable and usually not leaking much from one mixing space to another.

Difference between Mijello Fusion Air-Tight Watercolor Palette Small and Large
The Mijello Fusion Air-Tight Watercolor Palette small measures approximately 5.5 inches x 10.5 inches. In the middle, there are two 3 inches x 4 inches primary mixing trays.Below and besides the mixing trays, there are 18 little compartments or slants for mixing small amount of paints. This looks very nice and there is a thick sheet of plastic we could place on top of the whole mixing trays before closing the outer case. The large version of it measures 6 inches x 12.5 inches with 33 small mixing trays or deep compartments.Unlike the smaller version, the large Mijello watercolor palette doesn’t include the thick sheet of plastic to cover the whole compartments before the outer case.
